If the Kaspersky antivirus is creating trouble while updating it, then you can contact Kaspersky Customer Service or try the given methods to correct this issue:

You can update Kaspersky only when its subscription period is running. Check the expiry date for Kaspersky’s subscription and check if you are required to update the subscription.

Most of the times Kaspersky updates automatically if you have selected the option ‘Download and install new versions automatically in Kaspersky antivirus. You will not receive any automatic updates if you have not selected that option. To select the automatic update option, use the following steps:

  • Open the Kaspersky antivirus by clicking on it.
  • Click on the settings icon and then click on additional settings.
  • Then click on Update and select the ‘Download and install new versions automatically’ if not selected already.
  • Now click on configure user account settings on Update settings.
  • Now select current uses if you have configured Kaspersky to run updates and then save the changes.

The update issue with Kaspersky can also arise due to incorrect date and time settings. You can open the time and date settings of your Windows and adjust them correctly. You can also take help by calling at Kaspersky Support Number.

Also, Kaspersky has a battery saving option which turns off the updates for the devices that are not plugged in. this can be one of the reasons which can prevent you from updating Kaspersky. To turn off the battery saving option, follow these steps:

Click on ‘Settings’ option and then select ‘Performance’ option.

After this deselect the ‘Disable scheduled scan tasks while running on battery power’. This will turn off the battery saving.

If you have installed more than one antivirus in your system then it might conflict with Kaspersky antivirus and will not let it update. To resolve this issue, go through the given steps:

  • Press Windows key + R to open the run accessory.
  • Enter ‘appwiz.cpl’ in the open text box and then open the Programs and Features under the Control panel.
  • Click on the antivirus other than Kaspersky and then click Uninstall.
  • After this click on Yes to completely uninstall the other antivirus.

The next you can do is to uncheck the proxy server option as it can also create issues while you are updating Kaspersky. If you are not using a proxy connection then make sure to check ‘Do not use proxy server option’. To select this option, follow the given steps:

  • Pop on the gear wheel symbol to unlock settings.
  • Now click on the ‘Additional settings’ option on the window.
  • Click on network option and then click on the proxy server settings to check the proxy server options.
  • After this select ‘Do not use proxy server option.

If you are using a proxy connection, then double check the proxy server settings.
